Player Security
Spectrio players are designed to be secure. The players will not respond to any external access attempts or protocols other than a ping request. The player will only initiate connection with preset Spectrio servers. All content is pulled only from the known servers by the player and is authenticated by the player before use. The Spectrio player passes the Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance requirements and tests.

Network Requirements
Firewall Rules
The player uses secure HTTPS (Port 443) to call out to our cloud servers. If the network has a firewall, port 443 HTTPS access to our servers must be allowed. Wherever possible please use add firewall rules based on Host Name as opposed to IP addresses to minimize future changes.

NTP Time Server
To maintain accurate time, access to an NTP time server (time.nist.gov) or a customer supplied time server is required.
HTTPS Proxy support
Players can optionally be configured to use a companies HTTP proxy server if desired.
DHCP to obtain network configuration
Spectrio players use DHCP to automatically obtain network configuration. If DHCP is not supported, a static IP configuration can be pre-loaded before we ship the players.
Bandwidth Requirements
This is not a streaming solution that requires a constant internet connection. Players continue to play even if connection is lost for several days. Bandwidth usage for a typical player averages under 20MB/night. Players are pre-programmed to transfer content outside of store hours, automatically stagger their transfer times. Customizable bandwidth throttles and download windows are available ensuring the players would never exceed the specified bandwidth.

The player outputs line level stereo or mono audio. It can also be configured to output 2 distinct mono channels.
